In the spirit of the season, Higher Achievement has benefited from several acts of generosity over the holidays. 

 

We extend our warm thanks to all of friends, especially:

 

ü      Shawn Gannon. This extraordinary 8^th grader and niece of our founder, Greg Gannon, organized a book drive for Higher Achievement at her school. The drive was a remarkable success. Students at the Blessed Sacrament School in Chevy Chase donated more than 800 books! 

 

ü      W.H.A.L.E.R.’s Creations. This nonprofit organization strengthens families throughout the year and then gives back to other organizations during the holidays. They have donated gift cards for scholar incentives.

 

ü      Council of Chief State School Officers. This agency not only provides critical mentors throughout the year, but also donated backpacks and books for our scholars this holiday season.

 

ü      Our donors!  Gifts come in the mail everyday and they are evidence of our community of supporters. Every little bit counts, so if you are considering a donation, please send it in! You will be supporting the potential of more than 400 motivated young people in the DC area.
