Thanking Recent Richmond Donors/Grants

Higher Achievement Richmond scholars, staff, families and volunteers wish to thank the following institutional funders for their recent support and vote of confidence in our Richmond work: BB&T, Bon Secours, The Community Foundation Serving Richmond and Central Virginia, Genworth Foundation, The Richard & Caroline T. Gwathmey Memorial Trust, Memorial Foundation for Children, Sam’s Club, Walmart and Wells Fargo.

In addition, Higher Achievement Richmond is deeply grateful for the personal Annual Fund gifts recently donated by our President’s Council, families, mentors and staff. It is through these personal donations that we will be able to fulfill our mission and serve more deserving middle school students in the future.

Help us Meet the Robins Foundation Challenge

Higher Achievement has been awarded a $100,000 2:1 challenge grant from the Robins Foundation – if we raise $200,000 in new pledges or gifts from Richmond-area donors by November 30th, the Foundation will make a matching contribution of $100,000. Contact us at 804-643-7753 to learn more about how you can help.

"Our partnership with Higher Achievement is a vital component of the district’s overall focus on strengthening the instructional bridge between elementary and high school and ensuring that more of our students graduate ready for college and careers. Higher Achievement and Altria are fulfilling a unique and critically important role by providing after-school and out-of-school academic enrichment opportunities for our middle school students."
